Dear subscriber,
We apologize for the recent delay in bringing you The Global Report's weekly digest of under-reported news. Your's truly, webmaster and TV news anchor, Eamon Martin, had to deal with major medical complications and hospital visits which interrupted the weekly work-flow.
OK. Now that I have your attention, on a brighter note, we are really excited to share some great news with you.
The past year has seen some of the most challenging changes in our unique non-profit organization's near-ten-year history. One year ago, due to various market strains, we were forced to discontinue our flagship newspaper. This development coincided with the newfound success of our television program –picked up for national syndication by Free Speech TV on the Dish satellite network.
What had been a newspaper with meager distribution in the few thousands was now a web, TV and radio enterprise suddenly potentially reaching tens of millions of homes across the United States. In addition, these numbers included some of the most disenfranchised people in the US --who live in rural areas and who do not have cable or online access, and thus, little quality news. Every week, these people would now reliably receive important news about their government, environment and fast-changing Constitution that previously would have been inconceivable.
After so many hard-won years, The Global Report had finally reached a critical mass audience. We started getting enthusiastic feedback from folks in Lawrence, Kansas, saying The Global Report is "the only way we'd ever know the truth," or the combat veteran in Joplin, Missouri, saying how much he appreciated us after only recently "waking up after being 'one of the sheep' for years."
But due to the loss of our newspaper and changing times in our longtime home base of Asheville, NC, it became painfully obvious that if our work was to survive, we'd have to quickly make some radical –and difficult-- changes. With that in mind, we decided to move our operations to the free speech bastion known as the San Francisco Bay Area.
It's been about six months since that move, and we're delighted to tell you that things have turned out better than we could have possibly hoped. Starting next week, The Global Report will mark it's triumphant return to weekly programming on the nation's airwaves! Thanks to a special new partnership agreement with San Francisco's public access channel, AccesSF, our operation will not only be back in full swing nationwide, but enjoying great local exposure in a major metropolitan location, airing twice daily during am/pm prime-time. Ya-hoo!
We won't lie. It's been a lot of hard work and adjusting to leaving our hometown. Though our efforts continued unabated on the web and on the radio, our television show's hiatus meant that our non-profit organization's main means of generating revenue –TV and newsprint – were also in hibernation. Despite this adversity, our crew has persevered and overcome no small amount of personal difficulty to not only keep The Global Report alive, but thriving.
Because the folks in Lawrence, Kansas still need to get "the truth."
Once again, we're humbly calling on you to help us with this important mission. As we move forward into a new era of independent news production, we need your assistance now more than ever. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to our organization. Every dollar you give will go a long way toward ensuring that we are able to continue providing the public with this independent source of news and information. We rely on individual donors to help us create The Global Report. We appreciate your generosity, and we join hands with you as partners in our common cause.
Thank you for your support!
Deepest respect and gratitude,
Eamon Martin, The Global Report |

| What's sex got to do with it? If I had to choose between George W. | "We didn't think that we annoyed anybody. We just reacted because we didn't have any other option. Any civilized country would act same way. I may remind you, September the 11th, the reaction was similar. American citizens were killed. You know the reaction." |
